Setup Guide
Everything you need to get started with FieldTrack.
Student App Installation (Android)
Download the APK
Click the "Download App" button on this website to download the Fieldtrack.apk file to your Android device.
Allow Unknown Sources
Because the app is downloaded directly (not from the Play Store), Android will ask you for permission to install it.
- Open the downloaded APK file.
- If prompted, tap Settings.
- Toggle on Allow from this source for your browser or file manager.
- Go back and tap Install.
Grant Required Permissions
When you first open FieldTrack, you must grant permissions for it to work properly:
- Location: Required to verify your fieldwork site when checking in. Select "Allow while using the app".
- Camera & Storage: Required to upload photos and documents as evidence for your activities.
Log In
Use the student credentials provided by your university administrator to log in. You will be prompted to change your temporary password on your first login.
Supervisor Portal Access
Access the Portal
No installation is required. Simply navigate to fieldtrack.top/supervisor on any desktop or tablet browser.
Log In
Log in using the supervisor credentials provided by the university administrator.
Review Notifications
Ensure you allow browser notifications if you wish to receive real-time alerts when your students submit activities or check in to a site.
